Tears a Sign of Power not Weakness

Tears that make you, break you and repair you are more powerful than you can ever imagine.

Tears that repair your soul have immense power to help you rise when you fall.

Tears that give you strength do the work of boosting your will and help you climb even the mountain hill as if it were a happy whirl.

Tears that help you face your fear
does the work of an endearing comforter invisible yet inevitable as the divine.

Tears that hide your pain are the inbuilt coping mechanisms that help you tackle all the criticisms with a smile of Witticism.

Tears that make you happy are tears of fulfilment that lead you to the paramount of lifetime satisfaction and this is the rarest form of blessing you find worth cherishing.

That was a well-crafted poem Sivaranjini.
It is true that by shedding a few tears the emotions we are feeling or even the irritation we are feeling becomes diluted and bearable enough to cope.

Tears are truly an emotion. They are everything that we want to avoid, but they are everything that heal. Loved your take on the power of tears, so sensitive.

Tears are seen as a weakness but I think the strength of a woman lies in her tears and how she gets up and faces the world after a bout of shedding tears.

I wish more people would embrace and understand this notion.
Whoever started this belief of tears being a sign of weakness could not have been more long. It is such a way of expression, a kind of release and relief. And you’ve made that point so beautifully through these lines.

Physiologically, tears contain the stress causing substances. So when you shed them, the mind gets slightly lighter naturally. So shed those tears! Beautiful poem.

It’s amazing how something as simple as tears can hold such incredible strength and significance. I have come to realise that tears have a way of cleansing the soul, washing away the pain and sorrow that weigh us down. I’ve found that after a good cry, I often feel lighter, as if a burden has been lifted from my shoulders.

Tears should never be a sign of weakness but we are always told that. Maybe because they make others uncomfortable and they don’t know how to deal with it.

Tears do not represent weakness, they are here to make us stronger after facing the fierce gusts of bad times. Beautiful poem with a deep meaning.

Tears are such an unspoken of expression, however, as you have captured in the poem, tears can mean so many things – so many good, positive and uplifting things too,. Tears are a great outlet, and not a sign of weakness!

Very true. Tears do repair our soul. They will be considered a sign of weakness (particularly for men) but we all know the strength of tears. Lovely poem, Sivaranjini.

This is a wonderful way to look at sadness. Often times it is so easy to perceive sadness as a sign that you are weak but there are glimpses of power in each tragedy and each piece of sorrow. We can use those experiences and learn from them.

I totally agree with you. Tears can be healing and also a sign of happiness. One must not store them or hide them. They’re an expression. Lovely words.

I appreciate the way you depicted the strength of the person who hesitate to show tears. Tears are our strength to face the circumstances. Rightly said, it is the power to smile with witticism in adverse circumstances.

Your words are incredibly moving. This post beautifully challenges the societal stigma around tears, showing that vulnerability is indeed a strength. Your personal anecdotes made it even more relatable and comforting. Thank you for this empowering reminder that it’s okay to express our emotions openly and that there’s strength in our tears.
