Self-help From The Arrow And The Song

  The Arrow And The Song

I shot an arrow into the air,

It fell to earth, I knew not where;

For, so swiftly it flew, the sight

Could not follow it in its flight.
I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?
Long, long afterwards, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroken;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.
– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Self-help through poems is my theme for blogging this 2021. Let me know your theme in the comments.
Self helps the thank you way.

Sometimes our dreams and hopes tend to become invisible with the time that is fleeting just like the beautiful rhythm of the song that diminishes in the air and the pointed arrow that enjoys its flight until it finds a tree that holds it strong.  When our intentions and aspirations are strong enough someday we will understand that they were undisturbed even when they travelled through the wind of life.
Resilience and perseverance are the roots of the plant in which the flower hope blossoms. The song of our heart finds its way when it resonates with another human being the same way it resonated with us. Such is the power of hope so let our kind words of hope resonate with the universe and spread more smiles.
     I wish all the Thank You readers a blissful new year – 2021. I wish that this new year brings happiness and success to each one reading this post.

While I was reading the poem, Could picturing the arrow and the song. Those lines are beautiful and so lively. Our dreams are just like that. We want to dream big, but sometimes, we don't realize and they get lost somewhere. It may be due to some difficulty or deviation from path. Resilience is with which we can be on the track and see the becoming our reality.

That is an amazing poem! I really felt the arrow shooting and could hear the song..what a lovely feeling to feel it echoed in a friend. It reminds me of this tongue twister I really like…I feel, a feel, a funny feel, a funny feel I feel, if you feel the feel I feel, you'll feel the same as I.

Beautiful choice of Poem Shiva. It id so relevant to the thoughts how important it is to dream more than that how important to keep the track of your dreams that we human usually derailed from it most of the time due to hindrances.Archana Srivastava

I am a big fan of poetry and if it's motivational, even better. I feel meaningful poetry transforms us from within if we truly imbibe it in our lives.

Loved the poem and it's interpretation! Self preservation and self help is what keeps us going just like the arrow we have to preserve and help ourselves.
