Why is Chutnefy 5-Second Side Dishes an Instant Super Healthy Choice?

The Thank You blog Product Review for Chutnefy

Indian cuisine wouldn’t be the same without our incredible chutneys. For our daily breads, they serve scrumptious side dishes. It is always a rewarding experience for me as a food engineer to write about brands that use innovative food processing technologies. We will know more about one such brand and their products now.

About the Brand

Two fathers who were standing in front of their wives, stressing over getting breakfast on the table and the kids ready for school, and wondering what they could do to help, founded the Chennai-based company Chutnefy.

That’s when they had the bright idea to create their version of simple-to-make chutneys to help with the morning rush.

Having always been a huge fan of homemade chutney, this seemed like a perfect fit for them. Their only catch was that all it must take is only five seconds to prepare the chutney.

The desire to help is the source of all great ideas and useful products.

Based on a passion for experimenting in the kitchen, a wish to simplify life, and above all, a goal to replicate the comforting flavours of home without the need for any artificial ingredients, as same as homemade chutneys yet made in less time than it took you to read this paragraph, each of their chutneys tastes fresh, genuine, and delicious

We’ll explore the tiffin combo from Chutnefy in this post, which includes seven delectable chutneys and a soothing tiffin sambar.

Let’s unveil the magic of chutnefy’s exceptional 5-second chutneys.

You have to tear open the packaging, add 100 ml of water, and stir for a few seconds, and you can enjoy your quickest side dish, which could be the best for your dosa, idly, uthappam, or paniyaram/ Bonda, samosa, or kachori in no time.

There is a plethora of information on the internet about how healthy green tea is because it contains antioxidants.

For a change, in this blog post, let’s explore chutneys for the antioxidants in them.

Now we will see how all the 8 different side dishes of chutnefy’s tiffin combo become the most desirable Indian superfoods.

  1. Tomato chutney’s lycopene possesses the superpower of shielding us from free radicals that cause disease and promoting the healing of damaged skin.
  2. In beetroot chutney, betanin serves as a natural coloring pigment with antioxidant properties that outperform artificial colorings.
  3. The vitamin C-rich black garlic and mushroom chutney can be used as a base chutney for sandwiches or pasta. The beta-glucan in the mushrooms helps to prevent the absorption of bad cholesterol.
  4. The natural antidepressant rosmarinic acid, in mint chutney serves as an antioxidant and has a calming effect.
  5. Apart from supporting heart health, peanut chutney’s potent antioxidant, resveratrol, also has anti-ageing properties for the skin.
  6. Coriander chutney is rich in calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C, which help ensure healthy eyes, bones, and hair.
  7. Bel pepper chutney is rich in beta-carotene, the natural pigment that helps to strengthen the immune system. Green chillies, onions, dry red chillies, tamarind, tomatoes, coconut, pepper, and roasted gram that go along with the main ingredient of the chutneys also have several health benefits.

8. Green gram sambar, or tiffin sambar, has turmeric, onions, and tomatoes added to cooked green gram, which is rich in protein and antioxidants (caffeic acid and cinnamic acid).

Idly made from fermented black urad dal and rice batter, together they become the best prebiotic and probiotic gut-healthy breakfast combination.

Now we know chutneys to be a great punch of antioxidants, and heating destroys these useful vitamins. Freeze drying is the food preservation technique that prevents loss of nutrients.

What is freeze-drying?

It is a preservation technique where ice in frozen food becomes vapour directly instead of melting to become liquid. If you want to learn more about the technique that makes your delicious instant coffee and improves the shelf life of chutneys, you can read it here.

Why freeze drying is a healthy preservation technique?

1. The nutrients and antioxidants in freeze-dried products are preserved as the technique retains the least possible amount of moisture in the final product
2. Because no high temperatures are used, all nutrients, including vitamins, are retained in the food.
3. No or very little moisture also contributes to a longer shelf life with no additives or preservatives.
4, Because there is no nutrient loss, the taste and flavor are mostly restored to those of the original vegetable, fruit, or spice.

5 choicest reasons why chutnefy’s chutneys is a showstopper

1. Source of Ingredients: They use only the best products because only high-quality produce can provide their customers with the desired taste profile and shelf stability.

2. Cooking: They probably have the most high-tech chutney production process in the world today.

3. The final drying and packing are done in such a way that they remove all moisture without losing flavour, using freeze drying.

4. They have taken it a step further by preserving freshness and textures—not just the feeling of a freshly made chutney, but with the added dimension of crunch from dals, bite from curry leaves, and other aromatics.

5. No preservatives or additives are needed to do what they do; they only add a healthy dose of science!

My take on Chutnefy’s chutneys

Chutnefy’s chutneys have carefully chosen ingredients that are the same as those in our homemade preparation. As far as quality and taste, they stand by what they claim. These chutneys come in combo packs with so many varieties of chutneys and sambar/vadacurry in one.

When you miss home food and don’t have time to cook, it becomes handy and becomes your magical element to make your plate vibrant.

At times, we all want seven different-colour chutneys on our plate to accompany our crispy dosa or fluffy idly without going to the restaurant, and for this, believe me, Chutnefy’s chutneys are a great choice.

If you are a person who can live by dosa all your life, what better than making a chutney that takes only 5 seconds?

So, what are you still waiting for?

Visit their website to purchase their popular chutney combos or create your pack by selecting your favourite chutneys.

They always have one or the other offers live on their website, so let’s not just stick to cakes this Christmas season but also enjoy Chutnefy’s chutneys.

The post is written in collaboration with Chutnefy and the review is based on my personal experience.

All along I was worried about the process in which it is made and whether safe preservatives are used. Your blog puts all those thoughts to rest. And now its chutney time with chutnefy!!

I am a big big South Indian food fan and so is my hubby. One of my favorite chutney is the Nariyal chutney served with Dosa and Iddli… its just yummy. Thankfully I am blessed with few South Indian friends who serve me their homemade south Indian food with love. It tastes divine and better than the restaurant ones. The story behind the making of the brand is very Interesting and will be inspiring one for many who wish to start their startup but missing ideas. Thank you for introducing this brand and will definitely give it a try.

I prefer making the coriander and mint chutney at home but would love to give the others a try (apart from the peanut one, of course). Particularly the sambar chutney. Thanks for sharing about it.

South Indian snacks just aren’t the same without those flavorful chutneys. While making them can be a bit time-consuming, I’m lucky to have South Indian neighbors who share their homemade chutneys. Their chutney is pure bliss, but when I try the same, it never quite hits the mark. Your post motivates me to check out the brand’s website for a variety of chutney combos and festive deals.
