Traditional and nutritious gulkhand made with honey, and petals of Indian fragrant roses. (rosa indica)
- It keeps the body’s metabolism healthy and robust while preventing anaemia. It assists in rejuvenating the body.
- It lessens the likelihood of acidity. It enhances eyesight, purifies blood, sharpens the mind and improves memory. The preparation of rose petals, or gulkand, is high in antioxidants and acts as an energy enhancer.
The stellar performers of Rose Gulkhand.
- roses are quite nutrient-rich and are one of the top ten most edible flowers and contain vitamins A, C, and K, niacin, potassium, iron, and calcium.
- The presence of vitamins A and C in rose slows the ageing process of the skin, boosts immunity, unclogs clogged pores, tightens and tones the skin, and leaves the skin with a radiant, glowing complexion.
- Rose is a herbal tranquillizer. The plant’s calming properties soothe nerves and lessen anxiety.
- Roses are highly valued for their ability to heal a variety of stomach issues. The flower is said to aid with digestion, increase appetite, and remove toxins from the body. It stimulates the stomach’s production of digestive fluids, improving digestion and promoting the absorption of vital nutrients.
- The vitamin C content of roses may surprise you. White blood cell synthesis is supported by vitamin C, which aids in the body’s defence against infections, colds, and flu.
- Roses can fight off oxidative stress and the impacts of free radicals, which can result in sickness and early ageing.
2. Honey
The traditional sweetener honey has a remarkable array of health benefits that are difficult to duplicate despite its high-calorie content.
Pure honey never goes bad when properly stored, giving it the stellar quality of having natural preservation capabilities in addition to its sweetening function.
3. Palm sugar candy
A healthier alternative to ordinary white sugar, palm sugar candy (panagarkandu)has a lower glycemic index. With vitamins and minerals, it functions as a natural body cooler and aids in preventing anaemia.
Making of Rose Gulkand in Farm 2 Home
The fresh roses are dried for 4 days before crushing. The best rose petals are sorted and graded to give fine quality to the finished product.
The crushed rose petals and honey are mixed in the same quantity with a small amount of ground palm sugar candy ( Panagkarkandu). The mixture is completely sun cooked to preserve its goodness with all the nutrients.
My take on the product
When chewing the rose petals it felt like eating fresh roses in their tastier version.
You can add a teaspoon of the product to milk or bread as it goes well with both.

Gulkand is very good for digestion and in summers it helps your body to cool down. I have tried a few brands but many of them have a very high sugar content. I will surely check Farm 2 Home one as their range of products is healthy and good.
I still remember our Dadi feeding us Gulkand with kheer etc to keep us cool in summer. I love Gulkand whether in Paan or on top of kheer or with Kulfi. I’m going to get this healthier version now.
Ilove gulkand. I would always buy a huge box from Rishikesh. It’s really the best sweetener. Going to try this one now.
I am curious to know is this Gulkand the one which panwallah’s add in Mitha Pan… I love having Mitha Pan and have seen them adding similar things in pan and it tastes so awesome. I am sure if you are recommending the same then its going to be awesome.
Wow, rose gulkhand is truly a delightful treat for gourmet enthusiasts. Although I can’t enjoy it with milk, I can imagine it being perfect on a slice of bread. Your recommendation has convinced me to order it immediately. Thank you for sharing this wonderfully healthy and delicious product!
I have never tried using gulkand as a sweetener. That is a great idea. Natural sweeteners are always better and healthier.
I love gulkand but have never used it as a spread. That is a brilliant idea. Thankfully it does not have vitamin B so I can give it try.
I am not much of a gulkand fan… I skip it in paan too but I swear I had no idea that rose has soooooo many nutritional and other benefits. Thank you for enlightening us Sivaranjini😊. I feel like getting a bottle of this just for the benefits… if i like it, well and good, if i don’t, maybe I will just chew rose petals… haha!
Rose gulkhand is absolutely delightful for food lovers. I can already envision it as a perfect topping for bread and milk. Your post has convinced me to order it right away. Thank you for sharing this incredibly healthy and tasty product!
I love Rose gulkhand, especially when they add it to the sweet pan I mention to put a good amount. Indeed its very healthy.
Gulkand is known to be one of the best and tastiest ways to beat the heat. My kids love to gulp down a spoonful and I’ve made ice cream with it too. This product has all good ingredients. Will definitely check it out.
A big fan of Gulkhand here. I find the fragrance of roses absolutely enticing! Thanks for the code!
I think I’m gonna be the only one reading this who hasn’t tried Gulkand yet
Rose Gulkand is a very useful product. It cools down the body and aids digestion. The Gulkand you’ve shared looks good, I’m going to get it
I love a good Gulkhand, especially in Paans. Never knew of all the health benefits though. Thanks for sharing.
I have never tried gulkhand with bread or milk. Sounds interesting. For me gulkhand is always something that goes with paan and helps in digestion. Will try.
As a kid I used to have rose gulkand every fortnight. My dad used to take to a specific park every two weeks and on the way back we would stop off at a tiny shop that server gulkhand with yummy white butter. However, as I grew older I stop liking it as much and now very rarely eat it. Your post took me down memory lane to the wonderful days of childhood 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of the rose flavour but it was nice to read your review of this product.
