Story Title: The Fall of Insunisi
I’m Aniya, a twelve year old girl interested in many things like flute playing, chess, coding, and now writing! The Fall of Insunisi is my second story that’s been published in an anthology. It was an amazing experience writing this story. I thought the prompt of Airavata of having an elephant as a character in the story was really interesting since I hadn’t ever done anything like it. While it was hard work, I couldn’t wait to see the finished product. I wanted the elephant to be a character with special powers in the story because I view elephants as extremely intelligent animals who are capable of many things like identifying human speech and understanding human body language. How does the elephant’s powers affect the people around her? Will people get into wars for the powers of the elephant? If you want to find out, get a copy of Airavata!
