Book Review – The Stream of Happiness

The Thank You Blog Review
The book has short essays about living life in an exuberant way. The book starts with starting the day on a brighter note by greeting everyone in the family with a smile, eye contact, and words of vigor which I think has been the best beginning for this self-help book.
These acts seem simple, but they would have a profound effect on making the fact happiness lies in the simplest of things in life, and the simplest things can be a source of fulfillment and joy.
The essays in the book speak crisply about mind, body, fear, self-love, education, generation gap, bridging the gap of generations, parenting the better way, life lessons and perspectives of characters in mythology, history of man, consciousness, and awareness.
The three pearls of wisdom that gave me the satisfaction of reading the simplest, shortest, yet the most effective self-help book -The stream of Happiness are as follows:
1. The author discusses the toddler years as an essential foundation of a human being’s life. With all his experience and knowledge, he writes that controlling children too much will lead to stress and hinder their creativity, learning through observation ability, and freedom.
2. Even if you correct a child often, it will give them the opinion that they are often wrong, which interferes with their self-confidence during their later years.
3. Playing and spending time with nature is a gift to the young child, and modern-day parents must give space for the overall growth and well-being of the child by allowing the influence of mother nature to nourish the mind, body, and soul.In short, if you are looking for a self-help book from which you can learn about all the essential parts of well-being and can also serve as a simple guide for living life to the fullest, then you can get a copy of Stream of Happiness Book here.

An interesting read, I’m sure. What would be your rating for this book? There was a time when I was very averse to self help books, but not anymore. There are so many nuggets of wisdom that we can derive from the experience of others. Thanks for this.

I loved your review. It is how life should be but isn’t nowadays. All the youngsters in joint families greeted the elders, touched their feet, and received their blessing. Now all wake up to the mobile and get lost in it. For instance only my daughter and I are together. She is mostly travelling and no wonder depression sets in..

The book sounds interesting. Simple change in habits add up to effective long term results. Greeting the family is a simple habit and it is disappointing to see we need to be reminded to do it. Adding the book to my TBR. Thanks for sharing it.
