Emotional and mental wellness has taken the front seat post the pandemic.

The top trends in food technology are that food technologists and food scientists today are working to include functional ingredients in the food products they create. These ingredients help to improve and maintain good emotional and mental health.

The good food we eat gives us happy emotions. Especially when your mood is not so great, your favourite food transforms you into a world of joy, and this quality of food makes it a perfect company for anyone when they need it the most.

Food ingredients simple as citrus fruits and certain seasonings that when added to your soup, juice, yoghurt gives a calming effect and helps relax to a great level. A blend of cinnamon, cocoa, and spices can do the work.

A mixture of omega-3 rich almonds, walnuts, peanut, and hazelnut help support cognitive function.

Prebiotics and probiotics together help in maintaining gut health.

Gut health is directly related to mental wellness and, the reason I chose today for this post as world mental health day is around the corner.
