Why Is the Book Attitude Your Ultimate Guide to Living the Life You Desire?

The Thank You Blog Book Review

How often have you heard people say your attitude is everything?

It is so supreme that your life depends on the attitude you carry, no matter who you are or where you come from.

Well, we have all heard a lot of praise for attitude, so I decided to spill the beans through my review and present the prime facts of the book in a nutshell as my gift to The Thank You Blog readers.

And if each one of you reading this review can shift your attitude towards living the life you deserve and desire, I will be the happiest.
Attitude consists of five of these building blocks.

1. Vision
2. Change
3. Learning
4. Fear
5. Boldness

1. Vision.

Vision is that inner voice that is aware of what we want to be and become in life. The trouble we face in unleashing our vision in life is when we silence or ignore what our soul wants to convey to us.

What is the secret to realizing your life’s purpose?

  • Clarity

This is as straightforward as it seems, yet powerful.
Write down your vision on a sheet of paper so that you can see what it is that you need to accomplish.

  • Desire

When pursuing your goals in life, your desire or willingness to realize your vision should shine brightly from within. Your vision will dim if your desire does.

  • Belief

The belief system is undervalued in men, but it can fill the gap by turning an average artist into an incredible legend. In other words, it is the force of conviction that changes a clay figurine into an unconquerable God.

  • knowledge

Learning the skills that could help you understand the various options available for making your pathway leading to your ultimate vision more approachable and easier to attain is one indispensable step towards moving closer to your vision.

  • Action

After you finish reading this book, if you sit back and relax without taking any action, this will be just another book you read, and it might not give you the result you desire, so remember to let your action bring about the change you want in your life.

2. Change

The best way to be better and live the life we desire is to understand that change can be massive, but it cannot happen all at once.
Change is the result of small efforts put in day after day to see our lives transform the way we want.
However seemingly small your actions to change could be when put together in the long run, they would become your ladder to becoming your best version, who performs better in every arena of life.

But to begin with, with too much to improve upon or a lot of things to focus on, we get overwhelmed and hesitate to get to work.

Instead of saying we can be anything we want to be, we can focus on one particular thing to improve upon at a time and be something instead of being someone afraid to do anything and everything.

3. Learning

Learning has the following four components:

  • Deconstruction

Deconstruction means breaking down a big task into small, doable sub-tasks.

  • Selection

Selection is choosing the 20 per cent of essential information that is mandatory for learning a new skill.

  • Sequencing

Sequencing means having to learn things in such an order that the learning process becomes simplified. For example, if you are new to cooking, you should learn one recipe at a time and repeat it once a week.

  • Stakes

The actions that we take to stick to the routine of doing what we have to do day after day without that easy way to skip it for a day or two or discontinue the efforts we have put into learning a skill.

For example, if you want to skip your exercise routine owing to laziness, you should think that you are losing control over maintaining good health.

  • Deep practice

Repetition: There is no better way to develop expertise than through practice. As long as you keep up with practice. No matter how amateur you are today at what you want to do, you will master it eventually.

 4. Fear

Fear is so self-manifested that it is your mind’s way to avoid situations that will be hard for you to handle.
Developing more trust in yourself and your abilities to handle any situation in life will bring you to a place where your fears will disappear.
Work on how to overcome any fear until you reach a point where you look up to the mirror and say honestly to yourself:
Whatever happens, I can handle it!

If you can overcome your anxieties and forge a fearless character, remarkable things will start entering your lives. The best way to overcome any fear is to put ourselves in the situation that we are afraid of.

If we are scared but we know it is going to be beneficial, we must do it anyway, and we will realize that confronting our fears brings us to a new reality of letting us meet the better version of ourselves.

5. Boldness

Boldness is a quality that beats the coward in you. If you are bold enough to realize that you are strong, then nothing and no force in the world can ever stop you from having the attitude of the winners.

Here are the components of boldness:

1. Prepare

2. Decide

3. Act

4. Inspire

Preparing for what you think is difficult, still deciding to do it, and starting to take action, no matter how small your action will be. If you want to progress, then action should be your inevitable companion. Keep calm, be strong, and do what you are doing, as you never know who you are inspiring.

Take your turn.

In life, we wait for opportunities; instead, let’s take our turn. The time has come to craft a vision, make a change, learn something new, win over our fears, and embrace boldness.

To begin with, let me write down the five things on which I need to focus to get better. 1. Getting back to my ideal weight 2. Learn to drive. 3. Get better and faster at cooking. 4. Becoming a better blogger and teacher 5. Publish a revised version of my food technology book and make it widely accessible.

I hope the review will help you shift your attitude in the direction of evolving into a better version of yourself.

If it did, let me know in the comments below about the areas you need to focus on to own the life you desire.

Attitude The Thank You Blog Book Review
Attitude

About the book

Life is unpredictable and full of things we can’t control. The only thing we can truly have power over is our attitude. We don’t always have a choice in what happens to us, but we always get to choose how we respond.

Adam and Adam have extracted the most valuable insights about attitude from some of the greatest minds on the topic and distilled them into five simple lessons: Vision, Change, Learning, Fear, and Boldness. Time to say goodbye to mediocrity and hello to a kickass new attitude!

Here’s what you can expect:Vision: The first step in getting to where you want to go is knowing where you want to go in the first place. Over the next few years, you’re going to get somewhere… but unless you set a bit of a vision for yourself, the place you end up in may not be the place you want to go.

Change: Having crafted your vision, you might realise that there’s a little bit of a gap between where you are now and where you want to be.

To close that gap, to move closer to the person you want to be, you’re going to need to change.

Change can be scary. It means moving outside your comfort zone. But if you want to improve, change is going to be an inevitable part of the journey.

Learning: As you’re working toward your vision and making changes in your life, you are going to have to try new things. Things you’ve never done before, things you never thought you could do, but things that are vital to achieving your goals.

There are times when we must learn new things, but most of us don’t have an intentional approach to learning. Fear: Everything so far might sound pretty exciting. But it might also sound a little scary. Thinking about your future is scary, change is scary, and trying new things is scary.

Lesson 4 provides new ways to reframe fear into something that will help propel you forward rather than hold you back. Boldness: The last piece of the Attitude puzzle is that little bit of grunt, that little bit of scrappiness, that brash confidence to just get out there and have a crack.

Despite fears, despite not knowing exactly what to do or how to do it, a little bit of boldness might be the last thing you need to get you off the sidelines and into the arena.

I love to read self help books. This review really got me thinking about how attitude shapes our lives. It’s true, people often emphasize the importance of attitude, but this review takes it to a new level. The idea that our lives hinge on the attitude we carry, regardless of our background, is quite eye-opening. I love how the author breaks down attitude into five building blocks – Vision, Change, Learning, Fear, and Boldness. It’s intriguing how these elements collectively influence our outlook. The intention to empower readers to shift their attitude for a more deserving and fulfilling life is inspiring. It’s amazing how a small shift in attitude can lead to big changes. Thanks for sharing this insightful review!

I must say Sivaranjini, that I not only found your review of the book – Attitude by the authors Adam Ashton and Adam Jones very informative and inspiring especially their advice about the new ways to reframe fear into something that will help propel us move forward, but I also found your opening introduction very illuminating, throwing light on how to become the better version of ourselves by adopting the right mental attitude.
